CommandBar 0.6.2

[ 2009-10-14 14:06 ]

One feature One fix.

Added a new type of position-based shortcut support (qwer__uiop) which uses 'qwer' to trigger the left 4 existing icons and 'uiop' to the right 4 positions in command bar.
Fix potential stack overflow problems while launching DAs.

KeyLauncher 0.3.3 - A bunch of new features

[ 2009-8-9 12:44 ]

Now you can use Alt key, which is used rarely, as modifier. However, if you do use Alt as modifier, holding it will not be triggered any more, even you configured it; and of course Alt+Alt means nothing.

Since it has to wait and check for key hold, a key down won't be triggered until you release it, therefore you may have noticed the letter now comes out on key-up while you are typing. This won't slow your input speed, but still you have the choice to configure KeyLauncher disabled on input, or you just don't setup any key holding launches.

If you have Accessorizer installed (you should), you can launch applications on top of another (like a DA) without quitting it.

Also, A lot of UI improvements included.

CommandBar 0.6.1 released

[ 2009-3-23 16:06 ]

Since this version, two kinds of shortcut support are added, and you can enable either one as you wish. The position-based shortcut let you use qw to the two leftmost existing icons and ertyuiop to the total 8 positions in command bar. The user custom way let you set your own shortcut keys for the 4 added icons. And there are 8 build-in keys (cxpdusbi) for system added icons. When command bar pops out, the menu shortcut begin to available; since they are overridden by the new command bar shortcut, you can hold the keys or press shift+key to trigger the original function.

Besides, CommandBar now looks for the TAIB 1200 resource from the launched application first, and then the small application icon bitmap (TAIB1001); which means you can custom your icon displayed in the command bar. All you have to do is add a TAIB 1200 bitmap resource into the application. Some free software (i.e. Bird) can do this. I'm sorry that it is a little complicated, and there maybe some better solutions latter.
